My Picture

Hi! I am Amrinder, a Freelance Web Designer living in Punjab, India.

Web Designing is my passion. I love designing logos, business cards and user interfaces.

Objective in mind:

I am always eager to create some stunning websites which are Usable and Accessible that users love to use. My main focus is to give my best to every project I am involved in. I always try to create something different yet usable which follow Web Standards as to ensure cross browser compatibility and faster loading.

I am looking forward to spread the importance of Web Standards, Usability and Web Accessibility here in India.

Skills I possess:

I am proficient in XHTML, CSS and possess commercial experience and knowledge of Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Illustrator. I have also implemented JavaScript and PHP in some of my projects.

I have always loved discipline and have implemented standard and technical methods to solve every problem. In designing and developing websites, I always follow Web Standards and Usability approach. I carefully look after typography and believe it as major part of web designing. While coding my designs, I use HTML/CSS design patterns which help me to overcome the inconvience caused by different browsers and help me speed up my work.

Education I have:

I have done Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering from GNDEC, Ludhiana, Punjab, India. In college I learned about Software Engineering, Database and few programming languages like C, C++, VB.NET and developed few projects using these languages.

I am a self taught designer initially guided by Klaus Komenda. I am planning to study more about design and attend some seminars like dConstruct, SXSW, FOWD, An Event Apart in coming time.

About this website:

This website is my online portfolio where I display my selected work. It is designed and developed all by myself using valid XHTML and CSS, handcoded in Dreamweaver and designed in Photoshop. I have used some unabstrusive Javascript (Coda-Slider & Smooth-Scroll). For contact page, I am thankful to Leroy Kirby who helped me to develop a working contact form.
